2016 TABLESCAPE INSPIRATION PROJECT - FEBRUARY
Oh, February – the month of romance & love. Whether you’re a lover or a hater of the holiday, when you think of February, you can’t help but associate it with Valentine’s Day.
Because all things “love” make me happy this month’s tablescape was inspired by the romance and beautiful feeling of an intimate date with your significant other.
I’m the first to admit that when I envision a tea party, I always think of being outdoors wearing big hats with ladies in sundresses surrounded by springy florals and pastel colors. This month’s design brings a new twist to the idea of a cozy tea party through the use of rich fabrics and colors while keeping it simple and adding traditional elements (of course we didn’t forget the snacks!).
The St.Albert Kinsmen Banquet Center provided the perfect backdrop to set the stage for our vision. Deep red & black linens, white & red roses, a subtle mix of metallics and those gorgeous Louis chairs came together to create a setting fit for royalty.
And PS: Gentlemen - No need to hit the Edmonton Hotel Macdonald for High Tea (although it is a beautiful and special experience); this is something you can easily set up for the ladies in your life to score some big brownie points.
